Good lord was this fun. I wandered around the ImagineFX mags I have and stumbled across the sketchbook work of Kev Crossley. I was very impressed, and it looked like fun so I went to work. I had Syd Mead droning in the background from a dvd while I drew, but eventually I decided that the DVD I had was a little too standard to listen to. But damn. I had fun. This was like gothic architecture, just tons of little fiddly bits and details.
Drawn in pencil, colored in PS. Wallpaper coming soon My first tutorial will be coming soon based on this image too. Look forward to it! The Creature Commands! Heh, thanks. Actually, that's exactly what I was thinking while drawing it. I keep looking at ImagineFX and D'Artiste stuff going "when do I get to be that good?"

Not a fan of the newer one. But I'll pursue this darker style definitely. -- Aspirations to Game Art  It look really great... I would love to see a picture of such creature in action.
