Guilty Gear Zero

I'm not sure it's really fan art, but my objective was to emulate the style of Guilty Gear. I missed pretty serious failtimes, but I like the piece that came out of it, so thats all down.

Poor this guy. He's the last of the Gears, created by taking a being of utter evil and darkness from an exile dimension and injecting it with human DNA. He spent five hundred years locked up as they refined his body, his only companion a strange Gear girl with bizarre wings and a cute tail.

After a couple of centuries, he got a little pissed. He broke out of the same dimension they kept Justice in, laying waste to everything in his path, screaming "WHERE IS SHE?!"

The others thought he was some strange, extra-dimensional bounty-hunter, looking for one of his bounties. That was not the case.

Eventually he finds Dizzy, three hundred years younger than he remembers her, but she attacks him out of fear. It's a romantic fight, and they fall for each-other all over again.

Zero Gear has some neat features. The Night Beast that is his soul exists just under his skin, visible through the scars where he ripped his own flesh off to try to escape his mortal body. Even though he wears nuclear fusion cuffs to restrain him, the scientists felt that extra precautions were necessary. They added the two restraining shells to his right arm after he shredded it, to prevent the Night Beast from escaping his body. They may or may not be helping. Zero Gear bears a remarkable resemblance to the creator of the Gears, Freddie.
