Since I've been MIA for a while, I decided I'd actually write a decent, rambling, ranting, raving ...ravaging... roaring... rowdy... rumbling.... .... journal.

What's been up, arc?
I'm so glad you asked. I'm on break right now, which in the language of the workoholic means I have an entire month to get what I want to do done. I'm working on entry materials for pretty much every Directed Focus Study area (aside from animation). Its a lot of work, but some of it overlaps, which is cool. I'm also working on 2 video games right now, and I'm Lead Artist on both, though one doesn't have any artists except me >_>...

I haven't signed any NDAs on this stuff, but I don't think the guys would appreciate me blabbing about everything about all the projects. I can safely say that one is a magnet based 2d sidescroller, for which I am doing an elaborate setup of making 3d art and rendering it to 2d to use in the engine. The other is Starshade Valley, a little more public. Its about space cowboys fighting hordes of dark matter Shades. Its in 3d, using the Unreal 3 engine, which gives me migraines, but has a lot of potential. The setting is just tech-y enough not to turn me off, which is perfect. I wouldn't have picked cowboys, but I think we did a good job of taking the concept to a place where we're all comfortable.



In other news, the folks are coming down to Plano today, and I'm glad I'll get to see them for a bit. Been tough to keep in touch with everyone during school. Been tough to find time to upload the stuff I want to to DA, and I've primarily been working on things that wouldn't interest people too much, like parallax mapped dirt and stuff.

Also been trying to dig up more music to listen to, found some good stuff by Ayreon, Angelspit and others. My chair is falling apart.

Bought a new mouse. Lots of top notch gaming appliances now, an n52, lachesis mouse, g15 keyboard bleh. and all I play is dragonica. heh.

I'll be dumping more stuff up as I think of what I forgot of, so keep your eyes peeled. Peace, hominids.
